Overview
Astrefract is designed so its core puzzle experience can be played without creating a Hub Technology account. The game does not contain third-party advertising, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not include an analytics SDK.
Progress and preferences
Astrefract stores gameplay progress and preferences locally on your device. This can include completed refractions, star ratings, scores, Daily Refraction results and retries, hints, settings, ranks and selected themes.
When iCloud is available for your Apple Account, this gameplay state may synchronise through Apple’s iCloud key-value storage so progress can carry between supported devices. Hub Technology does not operate a separate player-account or cloud-storage service for Astrefract.
Game Center
Game Center is optional. If you sign in and use ranked play, Apple processes your Game Center identity and Astrefract sends eligible gameplay scores linked to that player to Apple Game Center for Daily Refraction and all-time leaderboards.
Apple controls how Game Center identities, rankings and related data are processed and displayed. You can manage Game Center through your Apple device settings.
Purchases
Astrefract Deluxe is a non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple handles the transaction and the account or payment information used to complete it. Astrefract reads the App Store entitlement required to unlock or restore Deluxe.
Hub Technology does not receive or store payment-card or bank details through Astrefract. Family Sharing is provided by Apple when it is available and enabled for the purchase.
Audio, controllers and device sensors
Game audio is generated or played locally. Astrefract does not record or upload microphone audio. Controller input is processed locally. Supported spatial-audio features may use device or headphone orientation through Apple frameworks; Astrefract does not store or transmit raw head-motion information.
Apple Watch and Apple TV
Astrefract Mini on Apple Watch stores completion and best-move information locally and may synchronise that gameplay state through iCloud. The Apple TV edition follows the same privacy practices described in this policy.
Support requests
If you contact Hub Technology for support, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, device details and a description of the issue. We use that information to respond to and troubleshoot your request.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or Game Center credentials in a support request.
Your choices and deletion
You can disable iCloud or Game Center for the app using your Apple device settings. Deleting Astrefract removes its local app data from that device. iCloud and Game Center data can be managed using the controls Apple provides for your Apple Account.
Children
Astrefract is a general-audience puzzle game and does not knowingly request names, contact details or other personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If Astrefract’s privacy practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will be revised.
